Though online platforms warn about the addiction to games like rummy, people still fail to resist themselves and take such a step.

A man from Talegaon Dabhade was addicted to playing rummy online on Junglee Rummy. He took his life by hanging himself in his own house as he lost 20 thousand rupees while playing rummy online.

The deceased is identified as Ganesh Somnath Kaldante. He was a cab driver and used to drive his car. He got lured by the thought that he would get double the money by playing online rummy, so he started playing and got addicted to it quickly. He was addicted to alcohol and used to consume it while playing rummy online.

On Sunday, he hung himself in his bedroom while his family was outside. When Ganesh’s family checked why is he not coming out of the bedroom, he didn’t respond, so they had to break the door.

It is revealed by Talegaon police that Ganesh used to be on his mobile phone all the time, and when he lost 20 thousand rupees on this online platform, he took his life. Further investigation is underway by Talegaon Police.
